 Common Micropeel Questions

  • Micropeel is an advanced resurfacing treatment that combines a light chemical peel exfoliation with a microdermabrasion treatment.

  • A micropeel treatment begins with a deep facial cleansing and toning. An alpha hydroxy acid light chemical peel solution will be applied for approximately five minutes. This chemical solution helps to loosen the glue that holds the skin cells together; once removed, a microdermabrasion treatment will begin. A super-rich hydrating mask will be applied for 10 minutes, followed by the application of nutrient-rich stem cell and peptide serum, followed by sunscreen.

  • A lovely glowing pink hue on the skin represents nutritious blood flowing into healthy skin cells; this may last a few hours. It would be best to plan on drinking lots of water and hydrating the skin following the session as we will be removing layers of dead skin cells which will cause some flaking for the next 7 to 10 days.

  • Hold off on using any alpha hydroxy acid or Retin-A products for approximately seven days. Nourish your skin with rich ceramides, vitamins, probiotics, stem cells, and peptides! Always wear sunscreen and reapply every two hours if outside.

  • Micropeel delivers instant results but is a deep exfoliation treatment that removes layers of dead skin cells which can cause dry skin. It also depends on the skin condition; for instance, if we use micropeel to treat acne or correct skin discoloration, multiple sessions are needed to achieve the best results. If you're using Micropeel for age prevention, one treatment every 4-6 months is enough while alternating with other treatments to exercise the skin.
